Who is NPS?

Jay started Nebraska Payee Services in 1997 in an effort to help the financial needs of those who cannot handle these matters on their own. Jay has a strong financial background, having earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska, and has taken several personal and business income tax classes to further his education. Jay has been an income tax preparer since 1991 and continues this today, even with the never ending tax law changes. 

In addition to building Nebraska Payee Services, Jay is also a full-time Police Sergeant with the Beatrice Police Department in Beatrice, Nebraska , where he has been employed as a law enforcement officer since 1990.

Jay is a busy man with a wife and four children, and when he's not working the books or working the beat he enjoys coaching his kids' sporting activities and spending time with his family and friends.  

In 2013 Jay brought Rob onto NPS as an employee to help reduce his day-to-day workload, and in 2016 the pair became full partners of NPS.  Rob has a strong organization and management background, and has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Wayne State College.  Rob has provided NPS with improved organization, efficiency, and technological advancements, thus allowing NPS to maximize the number of clients it can serve.  

Jay and Rob met at the Beatrice Police Department, where Rob served as a Police Officer for nearly 13 years.  In 2014 Rob resigned from the Beatrice Police Department to take the administrative position of Chief Building Inspector with the City of Beatrice where he remains employed full-time.

Rob is also a busy man with a wife and three children, and when Rob is not working on improving his community through the building inspections department, he also enjoys improving the community's youth by coaching multiple sports and activities; but most importantly spending time with his family and friends.
